With just eight weeks to go, Bord Bia Bloom 2025 has announced its final line-up for this year’s highly anticipated festival, set to take place over the Bloom bank holiday weekend in Phoenix Park, Dublin. Now in its 19th year, the festival promises an exciting blend of gardening, food, sustainability, and family-friendly entertainment, with over 100 talks, demos, and performances scheduled across five days.
Visitors can expect appearances from some of Ireland’s top chefs, garden designers, and sustainability experts, including Donal Skehan, Diarmuid Gavin, Neven Maguire, Darina Allen, Adam Frost (BBC Gardeners’ World), Aishling Moore, Holly White, and Jimi Blake.
A Must-Visit Festival of Gardens, Food, and Sustainability
The 70-acre festival grounds will host 20 stunning show gardens, each telling a unique story on themes like sustainable living, health and wellbeing, entertainment, and food production. Alongside the larger gardens, the festival will feature Postcard Gardens, The Nursery Village, and The Plant Emporium, where visitors can explore breathtaking plant displays, interactive floral workshops, and botanical art exhibitions.
For those looking to enhance their green thumbs, the Garden Stage, sponsored by Zarbee’s, will feature 40 expert talks covering everything from urban gardening to eco-friendly landscaping. Renowned horticulturalists, including Diarmuid Gavin, Adam Frost, Jimi Blake, and Niall McCauley, will share their insights throughout the event.
Culinary Delights: A Showcase of Irish Food
Food lovers will be treated to live cooking demonstrations by some of Ireland’s most celebrated chefs on the Dunnes Stores Quality Kitchen Stage. More than 30 cooking sessions will showcase seasonal Irish ingredients, with chefs like Neven Maguire, Donal Skehan, Darina Allen, Rory O’Connell, and Catherine Fulvio leading the way.
New this year is ‘A Taste of Bloom, curated by Neven’, a three-course dining experience designed exclusively for the festival, highlighting the best of Irish produce. Attendees can also explore the Food Village and Bloom Inn, featuring 100+ food and craft drink producers, as well as a variety of food trucks, BBQ stations, and four on-site restaurants.
Spotlight on Sustainability
The Sustainable Living Stage, sponsored by Certa, will offer insightful discussions on eco-conscious living, including sustainable fashion, ethical food choices, and conservation efforts. Hosted by journalists Jo Linehan, Caroline Hennessy, Aoife Carrigy, and Suzanne Campbell, the stage will feature expert panels and sustainability advocates offering practical advice for greener living.
Family Fun at the Budding Bloomers Children’s Area
For younger visitors, Budding Bloomers will return with interactive workshops, educational activities, and hands-on planting experiences. Kids can enjoy Scientific Sue’s Bubbling Botanicals, Westcountry Willows weaving, The Cool Food School, and farm demonstrations by Agri Aware, including cattle milking and sheep shearing.
