Media Personalities, Football lovers and Administrators to hit the streets of Accra to exercise their civil and constitutional rights to express the displeasure of the continues deterioration of Ghana football in recent years.
The demonstration with a theme ‘Safe Ghana Football’ is organized by high profile media personalities and sports journalist in the country calling on Ghana government to collapse the current Ghana Football Association (GFA) even if it attract ban from FIFA.
A renowned Journalist, Patrick Osei Agyeman popularly known as Countryman Songo, and host of Fire for Fire has consistently hit the GFA on his show on Adom Tv about mismanagement Ghana football which has cost the country millions of dollars without anything good show for the lost of tax payers money.
Many Ghanaians have shown their support and interest in the demonstration and eager to show up for the exercise.
“The only thing that brings us together as a country is football, whiles every other institution or sectors have failed including traditional authorities, religion, politicians and the likes, if football also failed us, that will be the end of Ghana, especially the Senior National Team the Black Stars. We can’t let this happen to our country”. One of the fans asserted.
“GFA has become thorn on our fresh, they are the reasons Ghana football cannot grow, our football has been destroy because of their greediness and corrupt attitude of the so-called football people. How can FA President owns more than five teams whiles running the association? Definitely there will be a conflict of interest as we all know” another fan stated
According to AMN News report, more than 5,000 people are expected to attend today’s demonstration starting from obra spot in Accra at exactly 9:00am. Organizers of the demonstration have assured the general public that the match will be peaceful but caution trouble makers not to dare make any attempt to destruct the cause, or else they will dealt with mercilessly.
Many, including media personality are calling on the government to dissolve GFA for a serious reforms, if not, we should forget about any trophy for the next 50 years. The senior National team have not won any major tournament since 1982 when they won their last African cup of Nations.
