The Chief Executive Officer of Brempong Stars Herbal Clinic located at Sowutuom in the Greater Accra Region, T Doctor Isaac Dawutor however believes the magnitude at which the Ghanaian youth are patronizing Energy drinks and self-medication have carved out a significant concern need to be addressed by the authorities for save the youth.
The health risks of these energy drinks, according to T Doctor Isaac Dawutor,can cause heart problems and those patronize these products are already struggling with underlying health conditions.
T. Doctor Isaac said, self-medication treatment is another concerning trend among Ghanaian youth where many turn to pharmaceutical drugs available over-the-counter or herbal remedies without consulting healthcare professionals which is dangerous to our health.
He however, admonished the use of herbal medicine to Ghanaians to patronize traditional medicine because it is safe, and reliable remedy to our health.
