The President appointee for the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Chief Executive Office, Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy has officially assumed duty after his overwhelming endorsement by assembly members.
In a press release to announce his officially taking over of duty, the DCE pledge to work hand in hand with the people of Abura Asebu Kwamankese to realise the development of the district.

The District Chief Executive for Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Assembly, Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy has officially assumed duty following his overwhelming endorsement by the Honorable Assembly Members of the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Assembly on 16th April, 2025.
Upon assumption of duty on Tuesday 22nd April 2025 after the Easter break, Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy was led by some staff of the district assembly to visit, greet, interact and exchange pleasantries with some of the staff who had reported to work.
Subsequently, a delegation led by Pastors from Edumfa Heavenly Ministry visited the office of the District Chief Executive to congratulate him for his appointment by President John Dramani Mahama and his subsequent confirmation by the Assembly Members. The delegation assured him of the church’s unflinching commitment and support for his administration and the government whenever the need arises.
The delegation also seized the opportunity to officially invite the District Chief Executive and the District Assembly to the One Week observation of the passing of Osofobaa Maame Rebecca of Edumfa Heavenly Ministry scheduled for Sunday 27th April, 2025.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy proceeded to attend a Community Durbar at Moree organized by the Community Health Management Committee (CHMC) in collaboration with the Moree Health Center.
The Durbar was attended by representatives of the District Health Directorate, Ghana Red Cross Society, PAs and Nurses at the Moree health center, Manager and other staff of AAK District Health Insurance Scheme, Chiefs and Queen mothers of Asebu Traditional Council and Moree including Nana Otwidom, Nana Obokesewaa, Nana Bodwewa II, Nkum Supi and Bentsir Supi; Assembly Members and a host of other opinion leaders who graced the occasion.
Speaking on the theme, *”PROMOTING HEALTHY LIVING: THE ROLE OF STAKEHOLDERS”* Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy who doubled as both the representative of the District Assembly as well as the representative of the Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, commended the organizers of the durbar and also highlighted the efforts already made by the member of Parliament in providing a standard medical care for the people of Moree and the entire district.
In his presentation, the District Chief Executive alluded to the maternity ward at the Moree health center which received a facelift prior to the 2024 December election, the Abokomano CHIPS Zone which was built, furnished and operationalized and a host of other medical equipment donated by the Member of Parliament, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, across the district.
He also assured the chiefs and the people of Moree of the AAK District Assembly’s commitment to collaborate with and support the vision of the Member of Parliament to upgrade the Moree health center to the status of polyclinic which aims to provide quality healthcare for the people of Moree and the entire district.
Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy was grateful to the leadership of the District Health Insurance Scheme headed by Mr. Edward Mensah for their regular visit to Moree to ease the stress clients go through by traveling from Moree to the district office at Abura Dunkwa to register for their health insurance cards; and the Moree health center for their role in providing quality health care over the years.
The District Chief Executive concluded by appealing to the chiefs, queen mothers, staff of the Moree health center, the Ghana Red Cross Society, the Media, the people of Moree and all stakeholders to help combat the menace of cholera and other communicable diseases at Moree for the overall good of the district.
