The President nominee for the District chief executive position in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese district of the central region, Hon Daniel Mensah Wardy has been confirmed by elected assembly members and government appointees of the assembly.
At the end of voting on Thursday 16th April , 2025 , in Abura Dunkwa, the district capital, 40 voted members voted YES to give an overwhelming endorsement to Hon Daniel Mensah – Wardy to represent , His Excellency the President John Dramani Mahama as the DCE for AAK whereas 1 vote was rejected at the end of counting.
The colourful ceremony which was also attended by the heads of various heads of departments of the state institutions, the clergy and sympathisers of the ruling NDC brought a whole lot of joy after the district officer for the Electoral Commission confirmed total victory to Hon Daniel Mensah- Wardy.
In his victory speech address , Hon Mensah – Wardy who is also a financial expert expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty God and His Excellency the President John Dramani Mahama for the opportunity and honour done him to be able to serve the chiefs and good people of the 3 traditional area.
The Abura Asebu Kwamankese confirmed DCE assured his commitment to partner the various assembly members, government appointees, the member of parliament, Hon Felix Kwakye Ofosu who double as the minister for Government Communications, Nananom , the clergy and all those that matters in the districts including stakeholders in development to team up and work hard to develop the AAK district.
