Cocoa , Pineapple, Yam and Cassava growing farmers in Japendu , a farming community located within the Bosome Freho district of the Ashanti region have vented their anger on the management of Genser Energy Natural Gas Pipe Line for what they claim as being cheated on the compensation paid to them ( farmers ) as a results of destruction caused during the company’s laying of pipe holes through their farms .
The poor farmers in a press engagement at the destruction farm lands appealed to the government to intervene to get the appreciable compensation they deserve .
