Amid speculation in mid-December about his potential retirement after the 2024-2025 season, Karim Benzema, the 37-year-old Al-Ittihad striker, has firmly denied such claims. The French star, who has been in remarkable form with 10 goals in 10 Saudi Pro League matches this season, dismissed the rumors as “nonsense.”
Benzema addressed the speculation, stating, “I have no idea who is behind these claims. My career has no boundaries. I can’t predict if I’ll still be playing in two, three, or four years. I feel great my body is in excellent condition, my training is going well, and I’m taking it one year at a time.”
Despite a contract with Al-Ittihad that extends until June 2026, Benzema’s focus remains on his current performance, emphasizing his dedication to the game.
