Asanteman Democrats Dumsor Ne Ahokyere Vigil Rocks Kumasi

The people of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region witnessed a massive Vigil night yesterday 17th April 2024, organised by Asanteman Democrats.

The Vigil was organised by leaders of Asanteman Democrats to express and demonstrate how dumsor in recent days is affecting businesses and household activities in the region.

The demonstrators converge at the Anloga junction and hijack the nuts and cronies of the converging venue in their numbers drumming and chanting in their quest to communicate to the government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to fix the dumsor and Hardship that has bedevilled the ordinary Ghanaian.

Asanteman Democrats, an associated group of the National Democratic Congress, leaders after ending the Vigil walk at the party’s office, addressed the media.

The President of the Asanteman Democrats, James Jerry Sukah popularly called Papa Jay thwarted the achievement of John Dramani Mahama in the Energy Sector when the president noted that, Mahama invested massively in the energy sector which he built Kpone Thermal Power Plant, Bui Hydroelectric Power Project aiming at boosting the electricity generation.

According to him, Mahama had streamlined plans to attract private investors to improve the transmission and distribution of power in the country when he was the president.

Jerry Sukah averred that the mismanagement of the economy and electricity by the Nana Addo government has significantly contributed to the high cost of living for the ordinary Ghanaian.
Stressing lengthy on the challenges said the high cost of living has negatively impacted social well-being and quality of life.

He, however, used the opportunity to appeal to John Dramani Mahama to come and lead the country again to help address the pressing challenges confronting the power sector and the Nation as a whole.
