Latitude59 Pitch Competition, the largest competition of its kind in the Nordic countries and the Baltics, attracts hundreds of startups worldwide and Estonian investors, who are offering an investment of up to €1M in 2024.
Latitude59, the Estonian flagship startup and technology conference, has announced a partnership with the Business Angel Network EstBAN and the investment fund Specialist VC for the L59 Pitch Competition 2024. Startups will compete for an investment of up to one million euros, at the startup conference Latitude59, taking place in May in Tallinn, Estonia.
To date, startups from Colombia to France, encompassing 32 countries globally, have registered. “The Latitude59 Pitch Competition is more than just a contest. We train and support the founders throughout the process, alongside the investors. Apply and present your startup in such a way that we cannot say no to it,” said Triin Ilves, the startup relations manager of Latitude59.
Registrants for the Latitude59 Pitch Competition come from 32 countries worldwide, with a significant number from Ukraine and the majority from the Baltic states. The diversity of registrants is already notable, featuring startups from South America, Africa, various parts of Europe, and of course, Estonia and its surrounding area the most. “We are eager to see what the final week of registration brings,” remarked Liisi Org, CEO of Latitude59.
Upon the announcement of the Pitch Competition in February, investors Heidi Kakko, Martin Goroško, and Riivo Anton highlighted their search for early-stage startups, up to three years old, with technology-based businesses, dedicated teams, measurable customer feedback, and the ambition to dominate a sufficiently large market.
Applications for the Latitude59 Pitch Competition are accepted until April 1. A pre-selection is made from among all applicants, and the 40 strongest will participate in the public pre-finals already at the beginning of May, after which 10 startups will proceed to the next round. Working behind the scenes with the investors and mentors, the top five startups will reach the finals, taking place on May 24 on the main stage of Latitude59 2024, where the investment recipients and community award winners will also be announced.
