Lecturer Targets To Break Guinness World Record Of 150 Hours ACA-A-Thon
Dr Appiah Michael Karikari, a distinguished lecturer and one of the lead researchers at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), is set to break the World Guinness Record of ACA-A-Thon with 150 hours of lecture at the University of Environment and Sustainable Development on the 10th March 2024.
The first to be held World Guinness Record ACA-A-Thon marathon in the country will take place on the 10th of March 2024 in the Eastern Region of Ghana at Somanya.
The longest lecture marathon lasted for 139 hours 42 min 56 sec and was achieved by Arvind Mishra (India) at Graphic Era University, in Dehradun, India, from 1 to 7 March 2014. The lecture topic was on scientific computation.
Dr Karikari currently holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) Degree from the University Malaysia, Terengganu, a Master of Science (MSc.) from Coventry University (United Kingdom), a Commonwealth Executive Master’s in Public Administration (CEMPA) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Post Graduate Diploma from GIMPA, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University for Development Studies (UDS, Tamale), and SSCE certificate from Famous Amass (Fomena) and runs a public university located in the Eastern Region of Ghana, and also the CEO of Braintrust Research and Consultancy Services where he has made significant contributions to the academic and research community. Hailing from Adansi Fomena in the Ashanti region of Ghana, Dr Karikari has dedicated his career to advancing knowledge and understanding in his field, with a profound dedication to addressing critical issues in energy, water resources, and sustainable business practices, Dr. Karikari has established himself as a pivotal figure in the realm of energy economics, sustainable business and development.
We, however, urging students, lecturers and both the public and the private sector especially Ghanaians to buy into the bold decision of Dr. Karikari to project the image of Mother Ghana on the international scene.
