However, in recent times, there has been a growing concern over attacks on Christianity, which not only jeopardize the religious fabric but also have a profound negative impact on the African Christian community.
A Bible Scholar, Elder Enock Ofori Junior of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies believes the spate at which Christianity is heading is so worrying aiming to undermine the biblical progress of Christianity and it is time for Christendom to rise in defending its principles and beliefs.
“The trend at which some high-class sponsored pastors attacking Christianity is a serious threat call for national concern”.
The attacks on Christianity threaten the fundamental right to religious freedom. Believers find themselves in the crosshairs of intolerance, limiting their ability to practice their faith openly and without fear.
Attacks on Christianity in Africa manifest in various forms, ranging from physical violence to subtle cultural and ideological pressures. Persecutions, church burnings, and discrimination against Christians have become distressingly common. Additionally, there is a growing trend of spreading misinformation and distortions about Christian beliefs, contributing to an atmosphere of mistrust and hostility.

Elder Ofori stressed that the attacks manifest in various forms, which he said was in existence in the Bible years back and now some section of the clergy wanted to capture it to destroy Christianity.
Through that, there is a growing trend of spreading misinformation and distortions about Christian beliefs, contributing to an atmosphere of mistrust and hostility.

Elder Enock Ofori Junior used the platform to call on the rank and file of the two political parties, NDC, NPP and other political parties to ensure campaigns conducted in a clean, and transparent manner to continue maintaining the peace of the country’s since the inception of democracy. He also entreats the Electoral Commissioner to do as much as she can to give equal grounds for the parties.
