Supporters Chairman for Karela United, Mr. Emmanuel Donzy has said the players have their full support and very optimistic that 2020/21 Ghana premier season is for the Ainyinase based club despite their recent poor performance in the league.
Karela United, who finished on to the league log for the first round had dropped to 5th position, having gained two points out of a possible twelve in the second round of the ongoing Ghana premier league, with 33pts behind Accra Great Olympics but the Unique Passions’ chairman is pretty sure his side will climb back top again and be crowned “champions” by the end of the season.
“We’re not disappointed in the team’s performance, this happens everywhere, even in Europe when there is a restart of season things changes, see that of Barcelona and Athletico Madrid”.
“I know football involves two things and not three, “happiness and sadness”. Whatever comes we take it in good faith and I believe that, since we drop points we can also gain points as well”.
Karela will travel to Techiman as they play agaist relegation battling side, King Faisal Babies in the matchday 22 on sunday.
“They (players) have our full support and prayers, they should stay focus and play their normal game that brought us victory some months ago”.
“Karela has one the best technical team if not the best and we, supporters respect their decisions, they train the players and they really know who can play for our victory”.
“Finishing in the top four is the very least thing we’re expecting for the season”.
“We still know Karela is unbeaten at CAMP PARK because we lost to the best club in our league, Asante Kotoko.
25% supporters into stadium? That’s was something we had praying for we were happy the announcement came. We know our players want to see us cheering them up with the “pride and passion ” sound, and it’s time not to drop even a point at home again.
“The 25% supporters it’s okay, we wanted more but this Covid situation wouldn’t allow that, we’re grateful to the authorities because this would help clubs raise monies to at least pay winning bonuses “.
“I will urge my colleague football fans to comport ourselves so that our percentage maybe increased”.
“We have everything to win the league this season and we are ever ready to support the team to play in Africa as well”. He concluded
